INSTRUCTOR / MONITOR / ANIMATOR - BASEBALL SPECIALIST

DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Teach the Rallye Cap (Novice) Dairy Queen program of Baseball Quebec, whose mission is to provide young people aged 4 to 7 with the ideal conditions for learning baseball by providing quality instruction in a fun environment that is conducive to the development of children.
     

  • Prepare the content of the courses and introduce groups of children to basic baseball techniques.
     

  • In collaboration with parents, by actively involving them, teach baseball to young children through fun activities.
     

  • Supervise each participant according to their skills in order to maintain their best interest.
     

  • Ensures that each participant advances through the Rallye Cap stages at his or her own pace, without solely relying on playing baseball games.
     

  • Maintain discipline and good order during teaching periods and related activities.
     

  • Conduct periodic follow-ups on the progress of activities with the CBSL Board of Directors.
     

  • Optional: act as a Free Instructor for all our teams from the Atom to Midget divisions by prioritizing requests from lower categories (e.g. Atom TimBits).

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Have completed the 1st year of a DEC.
     

  • Have the trained Initiation level (online and practical) of the new P.N.C.E. (= ''National Coaching Certification Program'').
     

  • Two (2) seasons of experience in teaching baseball principles will be considered an asset.

OTHER SKILLS / CONDITIONS

  • Demonstrates the ability to respond quickly in emergencies, is autonomous, tactful, courteous and able to reach out to young people to communicate with them.
     

  • Good command of French and English.
     

  • Must be available on weekday evenings and sometimes on weekends.

REMUNERATION

Approximately $1,600 for the summer season (depending on the number of teaching hours during the summer) including 2 sessions of 1.5 hours/week for the Rally-Cap for 14 weeks from the end of May to the end of August.
